Question: People keep saying that "God loves the sinner but not the sin” Is this biblical ?
Answer: The Bible is clear that God "so loved the world." (John 3.16). That means that there is a sense in which God loves all men. He loved them enough to provide a Saviour who provided the potential for all men to have their sins forgiven and their eternal souls to be saved. In that sense God loves even sinners.
The Bible is also clear in its teaching that God hates sin. He is of purer eyes than to look at sin. (Habakkuk 1.13). He refers to sin as an abomination. By definition abomination means intolerably repulsive. God hates sin. He sent Jesus to die for sinners so that he could put an end to sin.
Knowing these two truths it is accurate to say God loves sinners but he hates their sin. BUT this is a simplistic look at his relationship to sinners. As long as a man persists in his sin that man is the enemy of God. God's enemies invoke His wrath and active opposition. God works to destroy the sinful works of men and defeat their rebellion. If a man refuses to find forgiveness and salvation in Jesus Christ that man puts himself into Psalm 5:5: "The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity."
Question: Why is Christ tarrying? I am tired of wickedness in high places.
Answer: The Lord Jesus will come the second time just like he did the first time, "When the fullness of time was come." Just because we have failed to reach our generation with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus doesn't mean that God has an emergency. He has more to be concerned with than our comfort. He is fighting an eternal battle to put down Sin and Satan for eternity. I am sure that Christians who faced the lions of Rome looked up with the same impatience as you are expressing now. Yet if Jesus had come then you would not be here. And I am sure that the Christians who lived through the persecutions of the Medieval Church and corrupt kings and princes asked the same question. The liberty that the Gospel has had for the last 200 years is unprecedented in the history of mankind. And just because we are facing the upsurge of evil somehow we are tempted to think that God doesn't know what he is doing.
Let me encourage you to review the Scriptures. Every time someone asked Jesus when he was coming the answer came back, and I paraphrase, "None of your business. Just stay busy about the Gospel till I do." And I say the same thing to you. It is none of our business when He is coming. Let us stay busy and "occupy till he comes."

Answer: It will not end until Jesus returns and puts an end to man's sinfulness. We are not under the Jewish law of the Hebrew Scriptures so we do not advocate the death penalty for perverted behavior. The NIV is not a translation in the strict sense. It does not attempt to make a formal translation of the original Greek and Hebrew words of the Bible. It purports to provide an idea for idea equivalence of the modern Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic texts of the Bible. As a result you have the 'translator's' opinion of what God intended to communicate, rather than what He said. In historic terms it is a paraphrase not a translation.
We believe the Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic words which were penned by the original writers of Scripture are the inspired words of God. They perfectly expressed what God wanted communicated. It is the translator's job to bring them into English. We believe that those words reside in the historic texts used to translate the Bible for over 1700 years. When those words are translated accurately into the English language you have the words of God preserved into English.
Since the 1880's editors of the Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic texts took it upon themselves to create new texts over the last few years. There is no known Greek or Hebrew manuscript that contains these texts. No translation or paraphrase made from these altered texts have the authority and accuracy of the KJV.

Science has determined that skin pigment is a function of geography rather than ethnic factors. It is true that because of their geographic location the ancient Israelites were darker skinned than many modern Israelites. But if your intended implication is that they were originally Africans you are incorrect. According to the Bible humans did not originate in Africa and then migrate north and East. The Genesis flood reduced mankind to three families which were centered in Mesopotamia. From there Noah's three sons moved in three directions. Japheth moved to the north and west. Ham moved to the south. And Shem stayed in the middle.
The Israelites were descendants of Shem. They were Asians not Africans. The did migrate to Egypt the ancient world's melting pot but they did not assimilate into Egypt's culture. They remained distinct.
In Genesis 46:33–34 Joseph told his father to make sure to tell Pharaoh that the Israelites were shepherds. Egypt was bovine (cow) centered. Cattle farmers do not like shepherds. The Israelites were granted land in the north and developed their own culture in Egypt. Four hundred years later they left Egypt and returned to their promised land.
While there is always some intermarriage between Israelites and their neighbors the Israelites generally refrained from it. There was not enough intermarriage to identify them as a dark skinned people who migrated north from Africa.

God has no pleasure in allowing people to go to hell, he is trying to save you from you sins. He does not send anyone to hell for using their minds. Answer: God is not in a hurry. It took him 4000 years to prepare the world for the coming of Jesus the first time. Until the time was right Jesus remained in heaven. Only when everything was ready did he step from heaven to Bethlehem, and then from Bethlehem to Calvary and then from Calvary back to heaven. What does the word "haughty” mean in the Bible?
Answer: The basic meaning of the Hebrew word used here, GIBAH that is used in this passage means to be tall or high. Figuratively it means to exalt yourself, to look down on others. At the heart of all sin is the same basic sin that caused Lucifer to become Satan. It is PRIDE. Satan's internal sin was stated in the words in his heart, " I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isaiah 14:13–14). When he tempted Adam and Eve it was with the same thought. There is nothing about any man that makes him any better than any other man. We all have the same sinful hearts. The only difference between a king in his majesty and a bum in the gutter is the grace of God. When a person does not recognize that in his heart he is driven by pride he will begin to think he knows better than God how his life should be ordered. Driven by pride he will think only his interests are important. So if he wants something he takes it. If he likes something he is eaten with covetousness. If he hates something he destroys it.
Before a person can know God he has to allow God to humble him. He has to realize his sinfulness and need of a savior. Only then will God meet him at the point of his need, save him, and begin to use him.

Answer: Demon possession will be possible to the very end of this age. When Jesus returns and binds Satan in the bottomless pit it will cease. The ultimate demon possession is the antichrist.
Demon possession is not the cause of most sin. Nor do we consider epileptics and mentally impaired persons demon possessed. Demon possession occurs when a person is so yielded to demonic suggestion that he or she completely yields his or her will to that demon. What is going on?
Answer: Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Any student of history knows that we are following the same progression of terror that Hitler used to create the holocaust. First abortion becomes legal, it is the first attack on the sanctity of life. Once an unborn baby's life does not matter it was not long till assisted suicide becomes acceptable. Both of these murderous behaviors start out as voluntary. Then "quality of life" comes into the public discussion. They argue, surely those with severe handicaps would rather die than continue living a meaningless life, and those who live in severe chronic pain would rather die and end their suffering. Once the lives of the innocent and helpless are not important it is only a step further to start eliminating undesirables in society. After all they are a burden on society and society is far more important than any individual is their argument. The day quickly approaches when the elderly also will be legally euthanized, for the good of society they will say. The only lesson we ever learn from history is that we NEVER learn from history. The wicked shall be cast into hell to burn forever.

Answer: This is a good question Monica. God did create Adam and Eve and called them to be be care takers of Eden. He also told them they had dominion over the earth. It is impossible to live on earth without doing some damage to it as we extract the food and other resources we need to live. There is no such thing as living in perfect balance with nature where what we put back equals what we take out. Animals don't live in perfect balance with nature either. Violent cataclysmic earth changes (earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, etc.) also changed climate and local conditions. We read of noble primitives who lived in perfect balance. The whole reason that modern conveniences were invented is because those "noble" primitives wanted to get beyond bare survival and enjoy some comfort. God's word tells us, "Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox." (Proverbs 14:4)
Should we just rape the earth? The answer is no. But the earth was created for men, not man for the earth. When one has to choose between the life of a man or the life of an animal or plant the choice should be human life. Is the climate changing? Yes. Is modern life and industry responsible for at least some of it? Probably. Is it avoidable? Not unless you choose to eliminate 4 or 5 billion people and go back to living a nomadic primitive existence.
Should Christians come together in prayer and fasting for the nation? That is always a good thing. However, it will only be effective if those who pray and fast are truly born of God and sincerely seeking God's help. Jesus said, "Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Jesus was speaking of being born of the spirit not just joining a church or being baptized.
He said in another place, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:" (Psalm 66:18). As long as America is murdering babies, allowing our streets to run with alcohol, drugs, blood and filled with sexual immorality (adultery, shacking up, homosexuality, child molesting, etc.) God will not hear us. We need to come together in a national repentance and spiritual revival before prayer and fasting will do any good. God will not be manipulated. God will not respond to simple rituals. He wants pure hearts crying out to Him and nothing less.
And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22
Question: Is there anything in the Bible that speaks against cremation?
Answer: There is nothing in the Bible that specifically speaks against cremation. In the Bible everyone who died was buried unless it were impossible. If a body were badly mutilated or badly decomposed it was burned. Cremation became an issue to Christians when unsaved heathen burned bodies in an attempt to prevent God from resurrecting them. How foolish to think that the God who made their body from the elements of the earth could not remake their body even though its atoms were dispersed across the the world.
In today's world burial has become a very expensive proposition. No longer can you bury grandpa in a pine box in the back yard. Funerals are costing thousands of dollars that many families just can't afford. Cremation is more of a practical necessity than an act of rebellion against God. As long as the life of the person is remembered and there is no disrespect intended I do not find cremation a sin. Personally I prefer burial when possible, but this is a matter of Christian liberty.
Question: Does God give a nation the leaders they deserve ???
Answer: Our national forefathers had to answer that question before the American Revolution. In Europe the philosophy of rule by Divine Right was in vogue. How could we justify overthrowing George III and establishing the US as an independent nation. They used the arguments of Lex Rex (the Law is king) by Samuel Rutherford to justify the Declaration of Independence. It is the source of the line in the Gettysburg Address, government of the people, by the people, for the people.
There is a divine-human cooperation. In Lex Rex Rutherford argued that a government ruled by the will of God with the consent of the people. He used Rehoboam, Solomon's son, as the example. Rehoboam would not rule for the benefit of the people and so the northern 10 tribes formed an independent country. God had chosen the family of David and Rehoboam was the legal heir. But Solomon had sinned and God tore the 10 tribes away from him. Then Rehoboam acted like a tyrant and the people refused to accept him.
A ruler can be a man or woman. If the people have the will and resolve they can overthrow him or her. In America we elect our government. Moral people will demand morality of their government. Immoral people demand an immoral government. God blesses moral people with a moral government. He curses immoral people with an immoral government. Obviously the majority of Americans are immoral and continue to elect people that are morally destitute. Because America is rebellious God, God is giving us an immoral and characterless government.
Question: Will the wailing wall be destroyed during the 7 year trib?
There is no way of knowing. The wailing wall was NOT part of the original temple. It was a retaining wall which supported the low side of the temple mount. When Hadrian destroyed Jerusalem and built a Roman city on its rubble he left the wall for the Jews to have a place to mourn what they had neglected and lost. There is nothing sacred about the Wailing Wall. It could be removed and replaced without affecting prophecy in any way.

Answer: Yes Tyler, it's true many have set dates and been wrong. God told us it would be that way, just like he said people like you would come along.
2 Peter 3
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
The Bible does not give any signs that allow us to set a date for the return of Christ. He just gives us a description of what the world will be like AFTER he comes to take his children home to heaven. We see many possibilities of those things happening so we believe He is coming soon. But we cannot be sure. Just as YOU cannot be sure He isn't coming soon. He says in II Thessalonians 2 that people like you who scoff at his coming will not be able to get saved after he comes for his saints.
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
In verses 4-6 he compared the generation alive at his coming to the fools who refused to get into Noah's ark. Judgment will come upon them without mercy or warning since they refused the loving mercy of Jesus Christ and refused to be saved.
In these verses Peter tells us that judgment is coming. The only question is when. This time it will not be with water (as the Global Warming freaks cry). This time it will be with fire and when it it is finished there will be nothing left.
To your point Peter says, God is not in a hurry. He doesn't run on our timeline, He is eternal. Days don't pass in eternity. Time was invented for creation. A thousand years is no different than a day. God is not concerned with time. He is concerned with the souls of men. And that is why he has not returned yet.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
And here is the key. God will not send Jesus until every person who will get saved in this dispensation has been saved. He doesn't want anyone, including scoffers like you, to die and go to eternal hell. He wants you to be saved. But when the entire world of people who have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ have rejected him then God will send Jesus to gather his saints and begin the judgment of the wicked.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
And because you refuse to read the Bible for yourself it will catch you completely by surprise. And before you know it, it will be over. In 7 years 3/4 of the world population will be killed. Only those who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ will have a chance of being saved. 1/3 of the Jewish people will turn to Christ. The other 2/3 will be killed (Zechariah 13). Only those who trust Christ during the judgment of the tribulation will be allowed into the kingdom of Christ. The rest will be turned into hell.

Answer: This verse must be read in context. It is the conclusion of the parable of the Unjust Steward. A steward had been embezzling. When he was about to be caught he "adjusted" the books and bought favor with his employer's debtors.
Jesus was not endorsing dishonesty. But he was saying, You have to live in this world. Don't be afraid to use its resources. Those who have money and live for this world can still be your helpers as you live. Many times making a friend along the way will provide the resources to do the work of God. Don't let an unsaved friend think they can buy their way to heaven but don't reject their help just because they are not saved. Work to see them saved. And live for God until He calls you home.

However, the death penalty is not universally ordered whenever a murder takes place. God further said that the death penalty IS a deterrent despite what modern sociologists say.

God made provision for involuntary manslaughter. He ordained 12 cities in Israel where a person could run and be safe if they accidentally took the life of another. These crimes were considered so vile and injurious to the nation as a whole that they were to be severely dealt with to cause others to hear and fear and not do them. Answer: There are several imprecatory psalms (5, 17, 28, 35, 40, 55, 59, 70, 71, 79, 80, 94, 129, 137, 139, 140). These psalms contain curses (imprecations, maledictions) against enemies. They pray God's judgment against evil people. In the Lord's prayer Jesus taught to pray "Deliver us from evil." Answer: God never created hell for men. It was created for the devil and his angels. (Matthew 25.41). When a person chooses to remain a rebel against God that person cannot go to heaven. It should not surprise us that the nations of the world are trying to render Israel defenseless. "For God so loved the world" includes Marky.
Does He love his sin? No. Does He love his willful ignorance? No.

Ray-God Bless Israel, I usually agree with you because I have come to the same conclusions. I read the koran 8 years ago and it was an eureka moment. The rebirth of Israel in 1948 was the catalyst and the start of the final countdown. I saw the countries on a map that will be in the final battle and who those countries belong to. If you have been Bible saved, then you don't need to be a "little nuts for being a prepper." God says that his people are not appointed to wrath. True, Bible Christians will not go through the difficulties and tribulation that is coming. In Revelation 3.10 God said "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." The from in this verse is the Greek word EK which means "out of." God does not say he would preserve them "through" the troubles. He said out of. The subject of his mercy will be away from the judgment. In 1 Thessalonians 1:10 Paul wrote that Christians should "wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." The from here is the Greek word APO which means away from. Again the promise is not that we will be preserved THROUGH the tribulation but that we would be taken away from it.
The two examples which Jesus gave are Noah and Lot in Luke 17:26-29. Both of these men were taken UP and and AWAY from the Judgment. Noah was in a boat while the world was at the bottom of the ocean. Lot was up in the mountains when fire and brimstone fell on Sodom and Gomorrah. Neither one was touched by the judgment of God. God's people today are no different. They will be taken up and away from the Tribulation. Relax and rejoice in your salvation. Your family will listen.

We agree with you. The mighty angel of Revelation 10 is an angel, it is not Jesus. The angel comes and stands on both heaven and earth meaning he is addressing the inhabitants of the whole earth. The Rainbow which we find first in Genesis always speaks of the mercy of God. The physical description of the angel also reaches over to the image of Jesus in Revelation 1-3 and Daniel 7 "the ancient of days." Again the appearance similar to Jesus, the Ancient of Days, indicates that the angel speaks and acts in the authority of God.
The angel raises his hand and swears by God, "that lives for ever and ever who created all things. Therefore he cannot be God. In addition John was ordered by God not to record the seven thunders. But he does offer John the book and commands him to prophecy again.

I don't know where you are getting your conclusion. The tearing of the veil gave men direct access to the temple holy of holies. Man can now come boldly into God's presence because Christ opened the way by His death burial and resurrection. This has NOTHING to do with creating a new Israel.
People do not get saved by entering into a new Israel. Being a member of Israel never got one person to heaven. Only those who by faith looked forward to the cross were saved. They were so few that we can name most of them. Jesus told Nicodemus that he should have known that he needed to be born again to be saved. He was already a member of "old " Israel and one of its greatest teachers. David said "Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute iniquity." He and Abraham are used in Romans 4 where Paul was revealing the fullness of salvation. In John 1:12–13
The Bible says "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." Salvation is individual and has nothing to do with any group.
The uniqueness of the historic Israel has to do with her role in prophecy not salvation. She was used to point the world to Christ. He came to Israel for their rejection so that he would go to the cross for our salvation. He used Israel to establish the first church. And in the future, God will reward them for their service. Israel gave us the Scriptures, the Son of God, and the Salvation of God. In the future they will be used to express the sovereignty of God. Presently Israel is in unbelief. God foresaw that, described it, and promised he would bring their unbelief to an end. Once the Jewish nation gets saved, one by one, they will be the centerpiece and first nation of the 1000 year kingdom of Jesus promised in many places in the Old Testament and in Revelation 20
You will never understand the 2/3 of the Bible which is future prophecy until you let God's word say what it says. Physical, historic Israel is the Israel of the future.

Your postings are outstanding but they also make me think. My life has been lived in a less than stellar means. I now have a family, two great kids and a wonderful wife but I still feel lost.
I have almost no connection to the world except for them. Church for me seems foreign, as if I am an out of town unwelcomed visitor. There is an aching in me to be better, to be closer to God but it seems that He has cast me aside.
Other than my family, life seems worthless, as it is a daily struggle. Becoming the better person over the evil one I was before my family has left me with less. Every one else who is cheating the system, here illegally, on welfare is pulling ahead of me.

Your question is not a new one. Job, writer of the oldest book in the Bible, asked the same question. Has God abandoned me? Is He a fraud? Is life meant to be meaningless? Why am I trying? Nothing works. Nothing satisfies.
Church is not the answer. Religion is not good enough. Your soul is hungry for a relationship with God. Nothing less will satisfy. Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10). Isn't that what you really want? To know that your life has meaning?
Maybe God is trying to tell you something that you can’t hear from the surface. This verse might be putting its finger on it. Hear what this passage says, The purpose of Christ was to give life (Salvation), then abundant life (the internal satisfaction and joy) which is the anchor of the child of God.
How do you know if your Christianity is form or reality? You have to ask yourself is your religious experience is coming from the inside out or from the outside in? Every man or woman has to ask that question. Many people have a Christian experience from the outside in. They see the Bible and Christianity as a set of tools and a bag of rules. If I do A then B then C then God has to do D. And it doesn’t work because that’s not how God works.
He is not and will not be manipulated. The old “Give to get.” philosophy of most modern Christianity is a heresy and just not true. We can never earn anything from God. He does not promise to help us avoid hard times and experiences. He does promise to go through them with us.
If you don’t sense his presence and see his hand as you are going through life there are only three reasons. 1) You never learned to listen or 2) He’s not talking because you aren’t listening; or 3) He’s not there because you have never truly been born again. Only you can answer that dilemma.
People can choose Christianity for their religion for emotional or intellectual reasons. Some people are caught at a vulnerable moment. They hear the promise of God and emotionally grab it like a life preserver but as soon as they are safely on shore they let it go. Others hear the offer of salvation. It makes sense and so they say, Okay I'll do that. But then nothing happens.
Real salvation only happens when you run up the white flag to God. When you admit you have been trying to do it on your own. You have been trying to help God out. You have been giving God a chance. But He didn’t dance when you played the music.
It is not until you quit that God can begin to work. It is not till you can honestly admit, “My life is an ash pile. I can’t do it alone. I can’t do it at all. I abandon all hope of salvation, happiness or purpose in life to you, Lord Jesus. If you show me a command in the Bible I will obey it. If you give me directions for life, I will follow them. If you tell me something is sin I will abandon it. I have no hope without you. I trust Jesus as my Saviour. He has done everything necessary to reconcile me with God. I trust Him as Lord. I will follow his will instead of my own. I will adopt his dreams in the place of mine.”
I know its sounds too simple. You are not one of God’s mistakes. He has not forgotten you. He has to take away our human trying before He can do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. Three times the Bible says, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10.9) But that calling has to follow an honest admission of need. (Romans 10.9-12). Just one error in your thinking. God does not threaten you with eternal fire just because you don't believe in him. He warns you that then as now you would choose eternal fire rather than spend eternity with him. It is sad that you are so blinded by your sin and hatred to see that he is trying to save you from yourself. Even in your spiritually challenged condition you must realize that justice demands that wrongs be punished.
Have you not watched as seemingly good people self-destruct? Too much alcohol or other drugs, too much lust for power or wealth, too much thrill seeking and immorality have shortened and destroyed many people. Look at the Hollywood set, the rock and roll set, the wall street set. Suicide, humiliation, drug overdoses, drunk driving etc. leave lives in ashes. If God were to allow men to continue in their sin the entire race would self destruct. So he lovingly made a way for your sin and sinfulness to be remedied.

Question: So let's talk. First off I am a Christian. Been one all my life. But I know that there Are other "gospels". Some may be "hidden" and it may be watered.

Answer: Let's talk. Your understanding is flawed. You have been the victim of revisionist history. The Roman Catholic Church as we know it is the result of the Austrians taking the papacy in the later Middle Ages and rewriting the history of Christianity. They did not select the books of the Bible. The list of books in common use reaches back to the early 2nd century long before there was a Roman Catholic Church which began with the claims of Gregory I at the beginning of the 6th century.
The unaccepted Gospels, if you would read them for yourself (and I have), have no ring of truth. They were written long after the 4 accepted Gospels and were never in common use by the churches. They were created and used by isolated apostate churches on the fringe of Christianity far from the geographic center of historic Christianity. They have no historic credibility except in the mind of modern apostate "christian scholars." These "gospels" have no kernel of truth.
You are right that the Bible repeatedly compares the end of this age to a woman in labor. Are we in that labor? NO. It cannot begin in earnest until AFTER Jesus returns to remove his saints from the earth. But we could be in the Braxton-Hicks period of pre-labor as the mother's body moves the baby into position for the true labor.
We believe we are close to the events of Revelation. We do not believe we are in the events of revelation. The Bible says Jesus could return at any moment for his saints. His return for his saints has no signs. It is imminent and could come at any time. His return to judge the world and sit as king is not imminent. The Bible is very specific. Two thousand five hundred twenty days after Jesus returns in the Rapture He will return to judge the earth and establish his kingdom. Those 2520 days are divided into 2 parts by Jesus as well as Daniel, John and other Bible prophets. The beginning of sorrows (literally labor pains) and the Great Tribulation. Each part lasts 1260 days. When this birth process is complete Israel, the literal Israel, will be converted. The surviving Jews will receive Jesus as their personal saviour and the nation will receive him as their king. The the blessings of Israel presented in the Hebrew Scriptures will begin to be fulfilled literally and in full.
Question: Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. What does this verse mean?
Answer: The entire physical creation was affected by Adam's sin. From the moment Adam ate the forbidden fruit this present creation was doomed. It began to die. Friction is sin in physics. The second law of thermodynamics is sin expressed in science. Everything we observe is slowing down, disintegrating, falling apart. Jesus will return for his saints. He will then let loose the forces of the Tribulation period and allow man's sinfulness to bring down all human institutions. The earth will be bathed in blood as the blood of the innocent slaughtered through the ages will be covered by the blood of that generation. (Matthew 23:35). This prepares the way for Jesus to return with his bride to rule for 1000 years. Once that 1000 years has passed the devil will launch one last rebellion and all sin, death, sinners and the devil himself will be banished to the lake of fire forever.
At that time God will destroy this present physical universe and create a new one unaffected in any way by sin. The NEW EARTH will become his capital from which he and the saints of earth will rule through the ages to come (Ephesians 2.7).

Only God can convince a person that he/she must receive Christ as saviour to go to heaven. The Bible says Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10.17). I truly apologize and ask your forgiveness. I don’t want to be disrespectful. I was just trying to get a response and I know that doesn’t make it right. You’re the 1st person to even respond to me about this question. I am going on 61yrs. old and have been saved since I was 33. I am alone except for a cat.
There are no other Believers where I live and where I work. I am disrespected at work often. I work harder (for the Lord) than most of those I work with , some who are in there 20’s. I work in a supermarket (3rd shift) breaking down pallets taller than me and then stocking the shelves. It is very physical work and I’m falling apart physically. I’ve repeatedly asked my boss to stop taking the Lord Jesus’s Name in vain to no avail.
They all know I’m a real Christian (far from perfect as you noticed) so I try and do the best job possible,
even though I’m constantly told to slow down ! However , if there's an opportunity to share the Gospel I do.
I always go to the Luke 23: 27-43 the three crosses , the Gospel in a nutshell. I love it because it is so simple.

Dear Marcus, We were not offended by your question. I have been a pastor for 37+ years. I try to answer hard questions because nobody does. When I look into a commentary I find most often they say a lot about easy things but little about hard things, especially if they might hurt sales. God has given us the liberty of a website where we try to answer sincere questions like yours. I am thankful that Ray does the work while I do the answering. Its a good partnership.
I too am 62 and alone. Its not easy to stand for the Lord today. I feel like a kid trying to throw fish back into the ocean after a storm. I can't make a difference to everyone. The verse you quote to show that he doesn't care about the God of his fathers could just as easily apply to a muslim, who has no regard for allah. But at least, unless I'm mistaken, you weren't dogmatic about it. If you are, then I question your interpretation on that one issue. No we were not being dogmatic. However it is relatively certain that he will be at least part Jewish. He has to be as close a copy of Jesus as possible. The Jews are not going to accept any muslim as their messiah. Besides there were no muslims when Daniel wrote his prophecy.
Question: Does God support capital punishment ?
Answer: The very foundation of Human Government is capital punishment. Until the time of Noah God governed men directly. After the Genesis flood God commanded Noah "Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." (Genesis 9:6). He demanded that when a man killed another man, men should put him to death. Until Moses gave the law it was the law of the kinsman redeemer. The nearest of kin was personally charged to put him to death. Under the law of Moses God said that a murderer was to be put to death by the authorities with two conditions. There had to be 2 eye witnesses who had not conspired. Secondly the witnesses had to be willing to suffer the same penalty that they wished to fall on the murderer. God never advocated capital punishment based on circumstantial evidence.
Comment: I have not at this time visited( itshallcometopass ) I am in agreement with you that the end is in sight. Some people really push this rapture doctrine, It has way too many contradictions in it and confuses a lot of young folks that are hungry for the the truth.I hope your ministry has researched this topic concerning pre-trib,mid-trib and post-trib. The 3 concepts just mentioned shows the confusion of this 185 year old teaching. A hundred years ago it was still being hailed as the new doctrine, then like a bad virus it kept spreading and changing.
The validity of an interpretation of Scripture is not whether it confuses people. Its validity is based on its consistency with the Words of God. When taken literally the bible student is left with no choice. The Bible clearly says that Jesus will come and catch his saints to meet him in the sky. That is the definition of the rapture from the latin rapiemur in I Thessalonians 4 "caught up." Reformed eschatology is only Roman Catholic eschatology warmed over. It is based on Augustine's assertion that the church is the kingdom and that Jesus will come when the world is Christianized. The muslims have the same concept which is what is firing up radical Islam. It was wrong when Augustine proposed it and it is wrong today. Let the Bible tell you what to believe no newspapers or theologians.

The God you don't believe in loves you anyway. You are right he has better things to do than keep track of the sins of morons. He would much rather bless those who know and love him. But morons who refuse to admit that He exists force Him to keep track of their sins since His holiness demands that every sin must be punished. In the same way Jesus never spoke of a 'next life." He did speak of everlasting life and said that those who believe in Him have everlasting life. This life does not yield to a new life after death. Life is eternal. You will either spend it in heaven with God or in hell without Him. You have made your choice but there is still time to change your mind. Jesus said, "For God so loved the world (including Marky), that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16). Think about it.

Answer: Genesis 12:1–3
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
This passage is the first occurrence of what has become known as the Abraham covenant. After the Tower of Babel in the separation of mankind there was a danger that man would forget God. To remedy this God arbitrarily and sovereignly chose Abraham and his descendants to be used to keep His Name alive, to produce the Messiah, to perform the work of salvation, and to demonstrate his sovereignty to the human race.
As part of the covenant God promised that whoever blessed Abraham and his seed would be blessed by God. Whoever cursed or abused Abraham would be cursed by God. This promise was never abrogated. Romans 11:1 settles this question. It says, "I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid." God has not forsaken Israel despite what replacement theologians have written. God knew that Israel would go into apostasy, would return to the land and be exiled the second time. God knew that Israel would reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah. God knew that the Jewish rejection of Jesus Christ would put him on the cross. He knew all these things and chose Israel anyway. He has not forsaken them.
Some people want to say that the present day Jews, especially those in Palestine, are not physical descendants of Abraham. This is irrelevant and untrue. It is true that a Turkish province chose Judaism as a religion. That province became an independent kingdom for several hundred years and served as a buffer between Islam and the Byzantine Empire which was Christian. When that small kingdom broke up the Jews of this kingdom made their way north into what is today the Ukraine, Poland, and Russia. They intermarried with the Jews that been pushed up north out of the Roman Empire and as a result have become as Jewish as any other Jews.
There must be Jews in Jerusalem and the holy land when Jesus returns just as they were there when he came the first time. Many of those who reject Israel also reject a literal return of Christ. We believe the Bible is literal. When God made promises to Abraham and his descendants throughout the Hebrew Scriptures he intended to keep them literally. Israel means Israel. The Abrahamic covenant remains in effect and will remain in effect until the end of the thousand year reign of Christ when all things come to their consummation.
Question: Isaiah 29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? Could you please elaborate on this verse?
Answer: Everybody is looking for the "Why?" that explains the evil and confusion of our present day. There is no question that there are plots and schemes put forth by evil men and groups to destroy our freedoms, destroy Israel, and/or destroy faith in God's words, the Bible. Darkness hides things. That's why immoral people seek out dark clubs, and bars to seduce each other into immorality. It is why 6 months after the government passes a law we find that what they sold is the opposite of what they said. etc.
BUT God's word sheds light and dispels the darkness. He said the mystery of iniquity is already in operation but that HE will frustrate it until HE is ready to let it come to fruition. It means that until then every plot of man will ultimately fail until it serves God's purpose.
Some see the delay in judgment as a weakness in God or as an excuse to dismiss God's warnings. Even that is a fulfillment of his promise 2 Peter 3:2–4
2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior: 3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
God went on to explain his delay. He loves people and will not let judgment fall in full as long as there is one more soul who will come to trust Jesus Christ as personal savior.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Are you the one HE is waiting for? Read over his plan of salvation and make sure you are a child of God.

Yes Ray we are in the generation of the fig tree which began in 1948 and ends with the return of Christ. There are several generations mentioned the 40 year generation is obviously not the one then there is the 70 year which would look like a good bet however there is also a 74 year and a 120 year generation. No one has lived for 120 years in a very long time so we are to be watchmen. We know the season as it is told to be the season of the locust. The locust have a 5 month span May through September. So we watch the world events and the stares that will show us signs. As you read the love letter that GOD sent us. If it is read with understanding and rightly dividing the word we learn that we were told all things.
Keep up the good works as Christ tells us to do and focus on the LORD.
I'm glad for your faith in the word of God but I think you might want to reconsider some of your conclusions. The "this generation" Jesus spoke of might not have begun in 1948. I believe it is the generation of Jews who are alive at the rapture whenever it comes. Trying to find a way to bend the Bible to fit our assumptions is not wise. God gave prophecy to clarify, not confuse people. There are NO SIGNS of the rapture. We can see somethings that appear to be preparation for fulfilling Tribulation prophecy but there is no sign given of the return of Christ for his own. Whenever people asked Jesus when He was coming He said, NEVER MIND when I'm coming. Just keep busy till I get there.
Question: 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Is this verse saying that there will be some genuine Christians that actually depart from the faith? If so, before the rapture or after?
Answer: The Bible is clear. A truly born again person can never forfeit his salvation (John 10.28) nor can anyone or anything cause God to reject them (Romans 8.38-39). The same thing cannot be said of those who choose Christianity as their religion but have never been born of God. As we approach the 2nd coming of Christ more and more nominal Christians will consider taking the Bible literally a mistake. They will abandon the Bible and the cardinal doctrines of Christianity. Since we are in the latter times of the last days we can expect the apostasy to grow until it is time for the rapture.
Question: I’ve noticed lately that more and more women are preaching from the pulpit. The use words like diversity, tolerance and inclusiveness. Does God allow women to teach in the church?
Answer: 1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Some try to say that as long as they do not 'usurp authority' over a man that it is ok. Others say that this is Paul speaking not the Lord and that Paul hated women. Others try to say this was a historic prejudice against women which we have grown past.
The Bible is very clear. Women are not to teach nor usurp authority over men in a local church. The word usurp is the Greek word authento from which we get authentic. Its primary meaning is to control. In the churches women are not to control men. In I Timothy 3 where the requirements for a pastor are given it says If a MAN desires the office of a bishop . . . I know it's not very politically correct or enlightened but it is the way God has ordered churches. We do not have the right to go beyond God's words. Churches with women pastors are out of the will of God and forfeit any authority. This is part of the apostasy of the latter times.
Question: Was was God opposed to King David numbering the people?
Answer: 2 Samuel 24:1 And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.
1 Chronicles 21:1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
One of the saddest events in the life of King David came when he held a military census of the people of Israel. As a result of David numbering the children of Israel God sent a death angel to destroy the nation. It was only when David offered a sacrifice on the side of Mount Zion that God stopped the angel. The site of that sacrifice became the site of the altar in Solomon's temple.
As you see in the verses above both God and Satan had in interest in David's decision. This is similar to the events of I Kings 20 when God allowed an evil spirit to tempt King Ahab and draw him to his death at Ramoth Gilead. It also has some parallels in the life of Job.
There are times when God allows and even challenges Satan to attack his children. God does not tempt his children with evil (James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:). In the case of Job God was showing Satan that the truly godly serve Him (God) because they love Him and not for what they can get out of Him. In the case of Ahab God wanted to bring judgment and death to a wicked man. In the case of David it seems that God needed to break David's pride and willfulness.
Joab, David's general, reminded David that God had always been their strength. David had defeated his foes many times when he should have lost starting with Goliath. It was God, not David, that gave the victory because the battles were for God's glory and Israel's good. But now David was looking to the strength of his armies. In Isaiah 42:8 God warns "I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." David was about to reach out and grab God's glory and God was not going to allow that to happen. He struck David where it hurt most. If the numbers of Israel were the point of David's pride then God would significantly reduce those numbers and let David know that David's pride was the reason he was doing it.
Does that mean the Bible contradicts itself? Did God tempt David? or Did Satan tempt David? God is the cause of all things either directly or indirectly. He wanted to humble David so He let Satan encourage David to do something David already wanted to do. He didn't have to encourage Satan to do it. Satan always seeks to foment pride and rebellion. All God had to do was step out of the way.
Question: Why is prophecy, especially the book of Revelation so hard to understand?
Answer: Prophecy is best interpreted in hind sight. God knew every second of history before he spoke the universe into existence. The Bible says, "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:" (Isaiah 46:10). He gives us snap shots of his plan in the Bible.
The Book of Revelation is an album where God puts the pieces together. It is full of symbols and pictures. Everyone of them is found and defined somewhere else in the Bible. Unfortunately too many try to understand Revelation as if it is a stand alone book on the future. Instead of letting the rest of the Bible define the symbols they try to find the definitions in the newspaper. As a result each nation allows its pride to make it "Israel' or its national guilt make it "Babylon."
If a reader is familiar with the prophecies of the rest of Scripture there are many 'aha' moments when he or she realizes "This is where that fits." or "That is what that means."
On this site we try to be true to the Bible. We refuse to try to push the US into Bible prophecy. We let Israel mean Israel and Babylon mean Babylon. We don't try to sensationalize prophecy. God gave specific time marks in prophecy and we try to respect them. Most Bible prophecy is not scheduled to be fulfilled until after the saints are caught away out of the earth. If we are seeing things which may grow into the fulfillment of prophecy happening in our day, then we can expect the coming of the Lord to be drawing even nearer.
Question: Is it wrong for a child of God to hate evil?
Answer: It is wrong for a child of God NOT to hate evil. The Bible says, "Be angry and sin not." (Eph 4.26). The only way to obey this is to be angry at sin and the devil rather than people. God hates the workers of iniquity. (Psalm 5.5). The child of God cannot love God and not love the things he loves. Neither can we love God and not hate the things God hates. But if you still are not persuaded here are specific commands to hate evil.
Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil:
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Amos 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate:
Question: Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. I believe most children are not being raised in Godly home, what are your thoughts?
Answer: The vast majority of children in the world today are not being raised in godly homes even though religion still permeates most of the world. Does this verse promise that every child raised properly in the fear of God will become mature godly Christians? No, there is no such promise. There was never a greater Father than God and his children rebel and force him to send them to hell.
But the converse is absolute. If a child is raised with no direction it is almost guaranteed the child will grow to be a godless undisciplined wreck. And we are seeing that principle in the newspapers every day.
Question: Last night (November 20) the president issued an executive order which instructed the government to ignore existing, established law. He justified his actions by saying that Congress is moving too slowly. Does this action fit into Bible prophecy?
Answer: Daniel 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
We do not believe that Barak Obama is the antichrist, but he does exhibit many of the characteristics which antichrist will have. One of them is iniquity. In the Hebrew Scriptures the word iniquity is the word
avon. In the Greek Scriptures the word is ajnovmiva (anomia). Both words to mean to act as if there is no law or authority. Mr Obama’s decision to issue an executive order creating new law is an act of lawlessness or iniquity. His action is unprecedented. Executive orders establish priority for executing existing law. They do not give the president the authority to annul or create law.
The antichrist will not respect constitutions, traditions, or laws. He will respect no God. He will be a man who does according to his will. As we approach the 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus we will see more and more leaders follow his example using emergencies and their own charisma to act contrary to law and in their own self-interest. In the 17th and 18th century kings claimed absolute authority because they ruled by “divine right.” In the 20th century dictators led the world out of the morass created by World War I into the sea of blood we call World War II and Communism. Nation after nation allowed expedience to erase freedom in the name of security.
Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Our constitution was written for times like this when expedience would cause us to respond contrary to our own good. It gave the president no authority to create law. It purposely put law making into an inefficient slow moving congress so that snap decisions which destroyed the fabric of American freedom were legally impossible. The making of laws was to be deliberate. The judgment of the constitutionality and reach of a law was given to the judiciary. The carrying out of the law was given to the president. The division of powers was established so that the president could not become a dictator. If this action is allowed to stand we will be one step closer to an imperial president as another brick of freedom falls from an already tottering wall. Unfortunately the only thing we learn from history is that we never learn from history.
Question: In 1973 the cold blooded murder of a child in the womb was made legal by the United States Supreme Court. Now they want to make it “legal” to murder a child after it has been born. Will God hold all those accountable?
Answer: Sin is progressive. James 1 says, "Now when lust is conceived bringeth forth sin and sin when it's finished bringeth forth death." Once America lost its respect for the sanctity of life by legalizing the wholesale slaughter of unborn babies it was only a matter of time before the concept of murdering unwanted babies after birth became legal. In the same light the movement to legalize suicide even in the case of those with fatal diseases reduces our respect for the sanctity of life and will eventually lead to euthanasia of those who do not have "quality of life." And then it will lead to the elimination of anyone deemed undesirable and/or a burden on society. God holds those who shed innocent blood accountable.

Question: If i were to die today would my sprit be judged now and go to heaven or hell?
Answer: The Bible says that judgment takes place BEFORE you die and that you are the one who makes it.
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Just 2 verses later he says, John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
You were born condemned. If you will trust Christ as your savior you will be saved. That is a decision you make while you are still alive.
The final judgment takes place at the Great White Throne Judgment, which is after the 1000 year reign of
Jesus on this earth. If you die and Jesus is not your savior, you go straight to hell. If you die and Jesus is
your savior, you go straight to heaven.
Question: 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Is this verse saying that there will be some genuine Christians that actually depart from the faith? If so, before the rapture or after?
Answer: No, this does not say that genuine believers will depart from the faith. John 10.28 says that a true believer who receives eternal life from Jesus can neither cause himself to be sent to hell (Greek middle voice) nor can any one outside cause him to be condemned. I John 2 describes what Paul was speaking about.
1 John 2:18–19 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
There are many nominal Christians who have chosen Christianity for their religion but have never been truly born again. These "christians" are those who will go into apostasy. They will abandon Bible doctrine, they will publicly deny Jesus Christ, and will join the other side. It is very possible that the antichrist will be a man who is part Jew, part Arab and a nominal Christian. He could leverage his identification with all players in the Middle East and negotiate a peace treaty
Question: Should a child of God become involved in politics.
Answer: Daniel, Joseph, David, Moses and many other godly men were involved in the governments of their day. Is it a sin for a Christian to be involved in politics? No, it is not. Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." If all godly people stepped out of positions of authority the world would produce its own Great Tribulation without God raising a finger.
At the same time, the most important thing for a Christian to do is to be a Christian. Our hope is not godly leaders, it is godly citizens. Many look at the last election with the Republicans taking control of both houses of Congress as if the kingdom had come. Our leaders are not seeking God's will for our nation. They just want economic, political and military supremacy to return to America. They have minds full of programs and laws but none of them will work. Our help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth. (Ps 124.8). We cannot overlook crime, betray Israel, and refuse to win souls and live holy in an ungodly world and then expect God to bless our nation.
If in living a life surrendered to Christ and the Word of God a man or woman feels led to become a politician and can maintain their holy living there is no sin. But if getting elected to office demands that a person sell out convictions and godliness then it is a sin.
Question: Is God angry with the wicked?
Answer: The Bible is clear, "God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day." (Psalm 7:11). A Christian should not feel conflicted when they find themselves being angry at those who willfully and knowingly do wicked things. God is not just angry at the sin, he is angry at the sinner. Sinners need to realize that God is not going to overlook their sinfulness and neither are his children. If Christians were ordered to passively submit to abuse we would still be licking the boots of British tyrants. We are to be angry and sin not. Stay focused. Understand that the wicked are subject to the same sinful nature you have. Understand that they have opened the door of their sinful hearts (Jer 17.9) and are a victim of their own sinfulness. Be angry enough to try to win them to Christ.
Question: Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Do you believe we are living in such times?
Answer: There has never been a time when ungodly men did not try to reverse morality. They try to make vice a virtue and virtue a vice. However, as we approach the day when Jesus will return for his own and the Tribulation begins this will become more and more prevalent. The hatred for good and the justification of evil will be increased geometrically. Romans 1 will come to fruition. The entire society will attempt to hold down any knowledge of God so that they are free to live as perverts and deviants without conviction.
What they do not understand is that it is not society which is causing them to feel guilty. Their paranoia is focused on the wrong object. It is their conscience made in the image of God that condemns from within. They know that "the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death". And that they cannot escape. God says further that they "not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." They somehow think that God cannot condemn them all. But in their hearts they know that he not only can but that he will.
Question: Matthew 10:22 “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”
Revelations 3: 1-5 “1) And unto the angel of the church in Sadis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2) Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4) Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5) He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”
What period of time does this apply to? I have heard that it is for people in the tribulation, but if that is the case does this mean God has changed the way of salvation?
Answer: This is an important question. The context of each verse is essential to proper understanding of its teaching. The Matthew 10 passage is a tribulation passage. During the tribulation Satan through the antichrist will be attempting to destroy every vestige of God. Since the Christians will have been raptured it speaks of the 144,000 Jews and their converts. The slaughter will also include unsaved Jews. The target will be anyone who refuses the mark of the beast. They are encouraged to endure because those who do not receive the mark and survive the 7 years will be delivered by the return of Jesus Christ. The salvation here is of physical deliverance not eternal salvation from hell.
The second passage speaks of a day like our own. Notice it speaks of a church. He does not say he is in the process of blotting names from the book of life (aka taking away their salvation). To the contrary, he is promising that despite the compromise and pathetic condition of the church in that day he will not blot out the names of those who have been truly born again. The key is in the "He that overcometh" statement. John, the writer of these words, tells us in his first epistle, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 John 5:4–5).
Salvation cannot change. The need for salvation is rooted in the holiness of God. He cannot overlook sin. The only way that God can forgive sinners is to see them in his Son the Lord Jesus. Old Testament pre-Israel saints were saved that way. Old Testament Israelite saints were saved that way. New Testament pre-cross people were saved that way. New Testament saints are saved that way. Tribulation saints will be saved that way. Millennium saints will be saved that way. God does not change. Sin does not change. Salvation does not change. Jesus said, I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. That does not change.
Question: Should the Texas preachers submit their sermons to Houston's lesbian mayor?
Answer: A resounding NO for several reasons.
1. Religious liberty - This kind of action is specifically what the first amendment is about. The Kings of England would send spies into the congregations of non-conformist pastors and then have them secretly arrested and tried in his Star court (VISA). They were sentenced and punished secretly to spread terror among the other preachers and silence their opposition.
2. Biblically - The Bible says we are to obey God rather than man. Preachers do not answer to human authority for their sermons. They have an obligation to confront people about sin.
Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
Homosexual behavior is a transgression against God. Christian preachers are specifically ordered to stand against it whether a perverted mayor likes it or not.
3. Freedom of Speech. - In American speakers may speak openly even of revolution and the destruction of the American Republic (i.e. the Communist Party) as long as they do not actually put their words into action. To the best of my knowledge these pastors have not advocated violence against homosexuals.
To submit their sermons, speeches, etc. would set a terrible precedent and encourage those who would undermine the constitution and Christianity to be even more bold in suppressing religion and opposition speech in America.
Question: Why did God allow Job to suffer so?
Answer: Job is the oldest book in the Bible. It appeared that Job suffered to teach us one of the most important lessons of life. When people suffer others always assume it is because of some evil that they did. Job was written to refute that idea. Innocent people can suffer. And they can do it with God's blessing.
Job knew nothing of chapters 1 & 2 and the discussions between God and Satan. Three times in that passage God said Job was "a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil." (1.1; 1.8; 2.3) To find a flaw in job's character or behavior you have to argue with God. God challenged the devil to break Job down because he was perfect, not because he was in sin.
Through the tedious discussions with his three friends Job is constantly accused of secret sin. His three friends "know" it must be true from tradition, spirituality, and by the wisdom of the ages. The only problem was they were all wrong. Job never asked God why he was suffering. He accepted his suffering with the same attitude that he accepted his blessing. The only thing that Job asked for during his suffering was vindication before his friends.
He pleaded with God for a days-man, a referee or arbitrator, who would take his side and explain it. None came. He spoke of his faith in the Redeemer, Jesus, who he would see in his resurrection after his death. Finally after being harangued Job hit on the perfect argument.
He pointed out to his three friends that they all knew widows and orphans who were oppressed without cause. They agreed that there was no sin which brought their pain. If an innocent person could experience light suffering then surely an innocent person could experience great suffering. His friends were silenced.
God then challenged Job to answer some questions that no man could answer. The exercise was for the three friends not Job. Job already had a lofty view of God. He knew he could explain not God's actions nor did he try. When it was all over and God had restored Job, he told Job's three friends to ask Job to offer sacrifices for them since God was angry with them and would not accept their sacrifices. In essence Job became the first priest. Formerly a father would offer sacrifices for his family but Job offers for those not related to him.
Question: In China and other parts of the world God’s children are being hunted down, arrested, beaten, cast into prison and in some cases murdered in cold blood. Do you think this will eventually happen in America?
Answer: America is not special. American Christians are not immune to persecution. As the light of the Gospel continues to get dimmer and dimmer the devil and his children will get more and more bold. Why is the Gospel light flickering? American Christians are more concerned with "getting theirs" with the rest of America and less concerned with spreading the Gospel. If Jesus delays his coming, conditions in America will get worse and worse until they match or exceed conditions in the rest of the world. Anti-christian persecution will get as bad or worse than it is in the rest of the world.
Question: Is there a Biblical difference between joy and happiness?
Answer: 1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
The Bible promises continual joy to every child of God. joy is the fruit of the Spirit. The Bible does not promise continual happiness. By definition happiness depends on things that happen to us. Happiness is always temporary. Joy does not. It is continual.
In both the Hebrew and Greek the words for joy and happiness are different. Happiness is the emotion that rises when we receive something pleasant. It can be artificially stimulated by drugs, thrill rides, intimacy, etc. Joy is not related to experiences. It is the state of internal satisfaction which comes from a relationship with Christ. It is the fruit or result of a life surrendered to the Spirit of God (Galatians 5) From time to time happiness may rise up from our joy but it should never be mistaken for joy. A Christian in the most horrid torture may not be happy but they will have joy.

I read your comments on Conservative Byte occasionally and finally today went to your website to check out your statement of faith before reading any further. I agree with most, if not all of your pages except for where you have people “pray this prayer” for salvation. The entire section on how to be saved is absolutely biblical until you get to that part because that practice has caused more people to doubt their salvation than anything else.
I also am Baptist (married to a Vietnam vet Marine preacher) and he has had to call down visiting speakers who were not thoroughly vetted by our pastor (afterward, not during the sermon) for promoting this practice. He realizes that after presenting the gospel you want to help out the person you are witnessing to, but Jesus never told anyone to “just pray this prayer”. Even though a person is encouraged to pray AFTER trusting in Christ ( “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?”), the words do not save them. My husband likes to use the example of a little child who, wanting to please you, if you ask him if he wants to be saved will say whatever you tell him. To tell him that he is now saved because he repeated a prayer is wrong and he will spend a lifetime wondering if he “did it right” or was sincere enough.
Please know that I do not want to be critical, but it is imperative that we give the true gospel so that it is Christ alone, without works, that saves us. A big THANK YOU for using the KJV. In Christ, (Name withheld)

Thank you for your kind comments. I understand your comments and agree that a prayer without a sincere belief in the savior is a false hope. We do not advocate a false hope or believe there are particular magic in these specific words. You quoted Romans 10.14 as proof that a person must believe in order to call upon the name of the Lord for salvation. But then you object to our suggesting that a person should call upon the name of the Lord for salvation. Verses 9-14 where the Scriptures plainly say we must call upon the name of the Lord for salvation. This statement is made in Joel 2.32, in Acts 2.21 and here. When God says something three times we believe it to be important. We think He means that salvation is not complete until the sinner truly believes he needs a Savior, understands that Jesus is the only Savior, and calls upon Jesus to be his Savior. You are welcome to your beliefs but we choose to believe this important principle and ask repentant sinners to do what tells them to do to be saved.
Question: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14) Does this verse apply just to Israel ?
Answer: The promise came to be when Solomon dedicated the first Temple, he prayed and asked God a very specific question. “If Israel sins and reaps the judgments given to us in the law, and if our city, Temple, and nation are destroyed, and if we are taken captive in exile, and if we repent, pray toward Jerusalem, and seek your face will you hear us? God’s answer was yes.
Romans 11: 1 – 2 confirm that God has not forsaken Israel. In Jeremiah 15 God told Israel that he was going to remove them and scatter them among the nations. That is exactly what happened. The Assyrians and Babylonians scattered the Jewish people across their empires. And then God we gathered them. The remnant that returned after the captivity reestablished the Jewish people and the land of Israel. They live there as an identifiable nation until Titus and Hadrian drove them from the land in the second exile. Presently they are literally scattered across the entire world. The existence of modern Israel is similar to the small remnant which return from Babylon under Cyrus the person and reestablish the land. When Jesus came the first time the majority of the Jewish people did not live in the land of Canaan. But there were some there.
When Jesus comes again there will be Jews in the land. They will not be the majority of the Jews but there will be Jews in the land. This modern state of Israel is not the fulfillment of II Chronicles 7:14 but it is one step in the fulfillment of that passage. The seven years of Tribulation are Israel’s crucible. As Job said when I am tried I shall come through as gold, the people of Israel having gone through the fires will be purified. Zechariah says that two thirds of the people will be consumed so the final third can be blessed of God. This is when II Chronicles 7:14 will be fulfilled.
Israel is the only nation on earth with the promise of God that they will never disappear. Other great nations have had their day of glory and then disappeared into history as the surf returns to the sea. Only Israel is promised a future glory despite their former sin. American Christians in their arrogance want desperately for this promise of II Chronicle 7:14 to apply to America. It just doesn’t. America is not the modern Israel. She does not replace the physical descendants of Abraham and those have identified themselves with them by conversion to their faith and intermarriage.
Repentance is never a mistake. And God may and often does give temporary restoration of blessing and protection. But he is under no obligation to do so except for Israel. America does not appear in prophecy. That means that she must drop from the forefront of world events. Either her sin will be so great that God judges her before or at the beginning of the great tribulation and reduces her to nothing, or she will be such a paper tiger that she is unable to respond to world events. Either way she is not a player. This offends American ego that is true nonetheless.
According to Genesis 15:16 nations have a predetermined limit to their sin. Israel had to go down into Egypt for 400 years until the iniquity of the Amorites was full. When the Amorites exceeded their limit God enabled Israel to remove them from the land. God gave the land that was formerly Canaan to Israel. From that time to the present it has belonged to them. They are in exile but the land is still theirs. II Chronicles 7:14 guarantees that.

It is not a history book but when it speaks on history it is accurate. When historians disagree with the Bible the archaeologist turns over another spadeful of soil and confirms the Bible.
It is not a book of prophecy but no prophecy of the bible has ever failed.

It has birthed more hope inspired more art and lifted more lives than any other book in human history.

Answer: There have been many "antichrists" through the years. In every generation the devil has to have one ready. However, the identifications have all been wrong and will continue to be wrong. NO Obama is not the Antichrist. Why not?
It is not time for the antichrist to be revealed. 2 Thessalonians 2:7–8:

The antichrist will not be revealed until after several things. The rapture of the saints is spoken of in I Thess 4. It occurs before the judgment of God begins on Earth. The one holding back the mystery of iniquity (Jesus - Rev 7) has to step out of the way before the mystery of iniquity and especially the rise of antichrist can come into operation. Before that happens the 144,000 Jews must be sealed in the forehead with the mark of God.
Secondly, Obama is not Jewish. The antichrist must be at least part Jewish by birth. According to Daniel he has no respect for the God of his fathers (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are the fathers) nor for the desire of women (God's messiah - Jesus).
Thirdly, the rise of antichrist takes 3 1/2 years. He must first find a solution to the Arab-Israeli situation. He must then take control of Syria-Iraq by gradual subterfuge, and then gradually increase that power until he can rule from the Indus River to the Straits of Gibralter, from the Sahara and Indian Ocean, to the Rhine. (Daniel 11). He DOES NOT start out in America.
No man on the public radar today can be the antichrist. He comes from obscurity to take over the reins of the entire world. Obama as evil as some perceive him just does not fit the Bible description.

Closely related to atheism is the denial of the existence of sin. Fools make a mock of sin, but it does not change its existence. If a person is bitten by a poisonous snake and refuses the anti-venom, that person will die not because of the snake bite, but because of his/her decision to ignore it. The Bible says the wages of sin is death. For 6000 years men have been trying to escape death but our cemeteries are a universal witness that no one can. Death is the best proof of sin. Why is it so hard to admit what we know is true? Why is it so hard to take the anti-venom?

There God said that you should win your husband to Christ "without the word," The simple answer is let your new life and Christlike spirit work on him while someone else tries to win him with the word. I know this will provoke a firestorm but women are specifically forbidden to be the spiritual teachers of men or to exercise spiritual authority over men. This is not politically correct, but it is God's word. Those who want to promote female pastors will try to make this Paul's bias, or cultural bias but these words are in their context mean exactly what they say. They are written in a book written specifically to tell Timothy how to set up a church.
God wants men to pastor churches and be the primary teachers/preachers in the church. Can women teach women? Certainly. Can a woman lead a man to Christ? Certainly. Can she pastor a church? Yes, if she does not accept the Bible as their authority.
Does God have a reason? He did not have to give us one, but He did. Adam was created first and then woman was created to be a help to him, a compliment to him. It has nothing to do with women being inferior to men. It is the order of creation. In addition, God says that Eve was part of Adam's transgression but she was tricked. He was not. In Ephesians 5 he sees the church as his bride. He also compares the church to a body himself being the head. In I Corinthians he commands men to pray with uncovered heads to honor their head. He commends women to pray to God with covered heads so they don't dishonor their husbands. I Timothy 3 he says "If a man desires the office of a bishop he must be the husband of one wife.
For all these reasons women are not to be the spiritual teachers or exert spiritual authority over men.

Answer: God is the creator. It is He not I that calls the willful atheist a fool The Greek word for fool is moros (mwro") from which we get the English word moron. Since He made us in his image, only a fool would deny his existence. In Romans 1:18–20 he says that anyone with normal reasoning ability has to willfully hold down his own knowledge to be an atheist.

Isaiah warned that God never intended for men to live on top of each other. Our tight packed cities have bred crime and death. While rural towns are not immune much of our crime starts in the cities and radiates outward. God issues a "Woe" on this kind of living. In Revelation the cities will be judged during the tribulation:

Question: Is the rapture in Matthew 24?
Answer: The timing of the Rapture is a major theological discussion. The rapture is not spoken about before Paul reveals it in I Cor 15 and I Thess 4. Therefore it is not in Matthew 24 or any of the other Gospels. The Gospels have Israel as their primary focus. The return of Jesus for Israel is much different than the return of Jesus for the church saints. The biggest differences is that in Matthew it is the unsaved who are 'raptured' and taken out of the world to prepare for Jesus to rule. In the Rapture the righteous are removed so that God can judge the world without judging his own. He promises that saved people will be delivered away from (apo) and out of (ek) the judgment not preserved through (dia) it. In the examples of Noah and Lot both were lifted to safety above the judgment (Noah in the ark and Lot to the mountains) before the judgment could begin.
Paul said he was revealing a mystery when he revealed the rapture. If it is/was a mystery then it could not have been revealed by Jesus 20-30 years earlier.

Answer: The very first thing God did when he created the heaven and the earth was to separate between light and darkness. God does not change. Does God want us to separate on the basis of ethnicity or nationality? No all men have one blood. There is one human race not 3-5 human races.

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

There are many other passages, Old Testament and New Testament where God says to avoid sin, not to fellowship with sinners, etc. While we are not commanded to destroy unbelievers, we are constantly commanded to make defining statements on good and evil. In Luke 16 the rich man asked Abraham to send Lazarus back from the dead to tell his brothers not to come to hell. Jesus did die and return from the dead. Did they believe him? Do you believe him? If you won't believe the Bible and you won't believe Jesus then you wouldn't believe if God allowed someone to go to heaven or hell and come back to tell the story. People do not die and then come back to tell the story.

Answer: 1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

God warned us not to listen to politicians when they tell us there is peace. Especially not politicians with a Muslim world view! The world's definition of peace is not God's definition of peace. To the world peace is when our side is getting its way and nobody is strong enough to change that. In Daniel, God warned that any time the kings of this world are talking peace in the Middle East they are only catching their breath before they attempt to eliminate Israel.
To God, peace is the end of war. God's peace begins in one's heart when they find forgiveness and salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. God's peace never leaves. The world's peace is a mirage that never turns into reality.
Question: First off, Raymond, I have been mightily impressed with your posts for a long time and also with your knowledge of biblical principles, but I'm mystified at any reason for a pouring out of the Spirit during the millennium. I personally had a dream vision about six years ago that blew my doors off and took days to recover from. That it came prior to the millennium makes far more biblical sense to me. Now, in the last days preceding the tribulation is when various pourings out of the Spirit is needed, not after Jesus has arrived to rule planet earth during the millennium. Answer: First, nowhere in the bible does it say that no one will have a vision before the millennium, however the prophecy in Joel will find its full fulfillment only after the tribulation of those days. As I study the bible I find the modern charismatic movement to be a satanic deception. Instead of seeking gifts and visions I would much rather understand the revelation already given to us for this generation. I Corinthians 12-14 was written to refute the modern heresy.
Question: What’s the difference between a Priest and Prophet?
Answer: These two words describe many of the people in the Bible. Some people think they are the same thing. A priest was someone who brought someone else to God. Often a priest offered a sacrifice for someone who wanted to worship God or who needed forgiveness. Once the sacrifice was made and the blood was shed made it possible for the worshipper to approach God.
A prophet has the opposite ministry. Many think a prophet was someone who told the future. Many prophets did tell the future, but not all of them. A prophet is God's mouth piece. A prophet brings God to people.
In a few cases a priest was also a prophet: Samuel, Jonah, Moses. He could both offer the sacrifice to provide access to God and then speak from God to the worshiper. The words of Jesus are the words of God. He being God brought God to men, speaking as God. He offered the one sacrifice that would open the way to God. He offered himself as that sacrifice when he died on the cross.

Answer: Allah of Islam is not the same as the true God, the God of heaven. Jesus Christ is God's Son. He is the Son of God. Allah has no son. Although Muslims deny it today he does have three daughters ("For truly did he see, of the Signs of his Lord, the Greatest! Have ye seen Lat and ‘Uzza, And another, the third (goddess), Manat? The God of the Bible is holy and just. He cannot forgive sin without the sinner being punished. By His grace God punishes the sinner in Jesus Christ. Allah is arbitrary and capricious. He forgives sin without any sense of justice. He forgives whom he will. The Jesus of the Bible died on the cross for the sins of people like you and me. The Jesus of the Koran did not die on the cross.
While Allah (il - the ilah - God) is technically the word for God in Arabic both Moslem and Christian Arab speaking people know that it is very dangerous to say that Jesus is the Son of Allah.

28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
Today we call piercings and tattoos 'body art." Does they speak to biblical prophecy? Yes they do indirectly. The Jews were forbidden to permanently mar their flesh with piercings and tattoos. Are modern tattoos 'for the dead?' No, the average person does not get a tattoo in response to the death of a loved one. Nor do they cut themselves and mix their blood with the blood of the sacrifice like they did on Mount Carmel.
Can we give a definitive answer on the morality of voluntary body mutilation? I wish we could. We have this verse that forbids a person for doing it for religious reasons. Tattoos and other body mutilations (branding, cutting, piercings, etc) are a normal part of pagan cultures. God's people are to be different and distinct from pagans. Many tattoo designs have occult origins. God's people are not to encourage occultism. The more we look at tattoos and body piercings the more we realize they do not glorify God.
The obsession with body mutilation has increased as America has turned away from God. Clearly the two, godliness and body mutilation, are not consistent with each other. As more and more Christians try to justify the practice the words of Isaiah 5.20 come to mind. They call evil good and good evil. God's people losing a sense of holiness is a major indication that Jesus is coming soon.
Question: This week Israel will celebrate her 66th year as a modern nation. Is this Israel the prophetic regathering of Israel promised in the Scriptures?
Answer: An electricity went through Bible believers when Israel became a nation again on May 14, 1948. They became even more excited after the 6 Day War when Israel regained control of Old Jerusalem and the Wailing Wall. God was regathering His people.
Is this the regathering of Israel promised in the Hebrew Prophets? Yes and No. No, it is not the final regathering of Israel. That will occur at the end of the Tribulation period. Saved Jews scattered across the whole earth will be gathered and returned to the Land promised to Abraham. There they will become the first nation of the Millennium. From Jerusalem Jesus will rule the entire world for 1000 years of justice, peace and prosperity.
If this is not the prophetic regathering what is it? When Jesus came the first time there were Jews in the land. When he comes the 2nd time there must be Jews in the land. According to Isaiah a remnant will return. According to Hosea they will be gathered for many years in unbelief and without a prince. According to Daniel, Joel, Zechariah, and other Hebrew prophets those Jews in the land will experience horrible persecution. BUT they will be there when Jesus comes.
Mohammed and the early Muslims believed in the return of Jesus to rule. Like every other Satanic cult it is their desire to frustrate the will of God. There planting cemeteries on the slope of Zion outside the Eastern Gate are an expression of that contempt. A Jew, Jesus, cannot pass through a cemetery on the way to the temple. Their obsessive hatred of Jews is an expression of that contempt. If there are no Jews in the Land then Jesus cannot return and put an end to their heathen opposition. Pharaoh tried to drown them. Herod tried to murder him. Antichrist will try to drive them into the sea. BUT when Jesus comes there will be an Israel in the Land of Israel for him to return to.
He will come again and there will be an Israel when he arrives. A nation reappearing after 2600 years of non=existence is not coincidence.
Question: John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. What does this verse mean?
Answer: The sovereignty and greatness of God confuses us. He coordinates the lives of 7 billion people simultaneously. He also coordinates the movements of a trillion trillion stars and planets. When He works it is because it is time to work. He cannot do what we ask the day before or the day after. Time passes. Events change. He must work at the right moment. That moment is his "day". Even when we think it is four days too late HE is always right on time.
In a similar but much lesser way, we must do what we can when we find opportunity to do it. Our paths cross the paths of others at precise moments. We do not have the luxury of 'later." Now is the time to work. Not later. Consciences get seared. Hearts get hardened. Circumstances change. God tells us to work while it is day. Seize the day. Seize the opportunities you get.
Finally, Jesus is coming soon. When He returns it will be too late for those we know and love to get saved. II Thessalonians 2:10-11 says that if they do not love the truth and get saved God will cause them to believe the devil's lie. They will take the mark of the beast and they will be damned for eternity. The time to win them to Christ is now. They will not have a second chance after He comes. Mankind is moving toward the twilight of time. It will not be long. Work while it is day.
Question: What Does Jesus Look Like Right Now? Is he white? Black? Brown?
Answer: There is a difference between the earthly appearance of Jesus Christ and his heavenly appearance. When he was on the earth Jewish was a Middle Eastern Israelite. The Israelis were descended from Abraham who was from the area of Southern Iraq/ Kuwait. He was not an African. He was not a European. He was a Middle Eastern Jew. His skin color was probably the brown tone of any other Middle Eastern desert dweller.
When he rose from the dead his body was changed. He was not recognized unless he wanted to be recognized. (i.e. the disciples on the road to Emmaus in Luke). In heaven today he appears as he wants to appear to whomever he wants to appear. When John saw him as a man in the Revelation he described him as he saw Him. What he saw has symbolic meaning BUT it is what he saw. Never discount the literal!
In the Revelation 1.12-15, Jesus appeared to John very much like he did on the mount of Transfiguration. (Matthew 17:2) He appears the way "the Ancient of Days" appeared in Daniel 7. He appears as a man but because of the shekinah glory, the natural light that emanates from God, his skin color and specific features were not visible. The vision of Revelation cannot be used to say that he is black, white, or green.

We live in an age of tolerance and political correctness. Those who have strong opinions on issues of religion and morality are considered close-minded and intolerant. Laws against 'hate speech' will target those who speak out against things like sexual perversion and Islam. Jesus said it would happen. Answer: At the beginning of time just after the flood of Noah mankind was one. There was one culture. Men were determined to build a tower to thwart God from ever destroying mankind by a flood again. God came down and confounded their languages, scattered them across the earth, and then broke up the continents (Genesis 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.)
From the ashes of World War II rose up a new international community. With computers and modern communications mankind has overcome the language and geographical divisions of the world. And again, mankind is determined to push God out of its daily experience just as at the beginning. Answer: 2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. This verse tells us to expect more and more dishonesty as we approach the 2nd coming of Jesus. Neither political party has the franchise on truthfulness. After all we pay politicians to tell us what we want to hear. However, lies and cover ups have become the standard fare of politics today. One wonders why the press which was so aggressive against Richard Nixon is so passive today. The Bible goes on to say in John 15:19 "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own:" As society becomes more and more ungodly its institutions will work together to cover up their own abuses and crimes.
Question: Where is Armageddon?
Answer: In Revelation 16:16 we read: And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. The word Armageddon or Harmageddon as it is sometimes spelled comes from the hebrew word Har meaning mount and Megiddo a fortress city of Israel. The hill overlooks a huge mountain encircled valley that Napoleon and Tiglath-Pileser agreed is the greatest natural battlefield on the face of the earth.
Mount Tabor breaks the ring and forms a "spout' leading down to the Galilee and Jordan river. According to the Bible, armies of hundreds of millions of soldiers will gather there at the end of the Tribulation. The blood will run through the Tabor passes 4-5 feet deep. As Jesus appears in the clouds above the battlefield the combatants will turn their weapons toward heaven. At the height of their blasphemous resistance to the returning Christ HE will speak a word and they will be destroyed by the brilliance of his presence.
BUT, it is not the end of the world. It is only the end of this chapter. When the battlefield is silent the Lord Jesus will descend to his throne from which he will rule for 1000 years over the earth. At the end of the 1000 years Satan will lead one last rebellion against the Lord Jesus. His defeat will will bring an end to this world. Eternity will begin.
Question: Does God sometimes allow the wicked to rise to power for His own purposes?
Answer: For the events of the last days to occur God will allow man to follow his wicked heart. As it says in Romans 1 each act of determined rebellion will be followed by God allowing the sinful heart a greater manifestation. The Tribulation is the sinful heart turned completely free to act.

Throughout history God has allowed evil men to rise for his glory. That is what he speaks about in Romans 9-11. You and I cannot understand his workings but we can trust him.
Question: We know that Jesus died on the Passover and that the Holy Ghost came on the day of Pentecost. Is there a feast that predicts the Rapture?
Answer: There is no sign which precedes the Rapture. Jesus could and will come at any time. But is there a feast that correlates with the rapture? yes. After the feast of Pentecost the next major feast of Israel is Rosh Hoshannah, the civil new year. Interestingly the feast of Rosh Hoshannah is also known as the Feast of Trumpets because of the constant blowing of trumpets through the day. Is it possible that "last trump" of 1 Corinthians 15.52 is the last trumpet of Rosh Hoshannah?
We know that the last trumpet IS NOT the 7th trumpet of Revelation 11.15 since we find redeemed, resurrected, rewarded saints in Revelation 4-5. The saints are already raptured before the trumpets begin to sound. The last trumpet the church will hear is the trumpet of I Thessalonians 4.16. When they hear it they will be resurrected and/or changed and transported to the third heaven.
In baseball the 1st base umpire watches the feet of the runner while he listens for the sound of the ball hitting the first baseman's glove. We should learn a lesson. We should not be looking for signs. We are to be busy trying to win people to Christ, as Jesus said,"Occupy til I come." Instead of looking for signs we should be listening for the trumpet.
Question: How many different kinds of Angels are there?
Answer: Angels were created by God to be ministering spirits (Psalm 104.4) In the Hebrew scriptures they are often called 'sons of God.' The 'Angel of the Lord' is most often the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ. In the NT Jesus is the Son of God and the ministering spirits are called angels.
Angels do not have bodies. They are spirit beings. Their physical appearances are tuned to their particular mission. When they speak to men they appear as men. When they are seen ministering to God they often combine a symbolic mixed appearance of men mixed with animal parts.
Angels were created with specific responsibilities or 'estates' (Jude 6). Those angels which left that responsibility to join Satan's rebellion make up his minions.
Cherubs first appear stationed at the gate of Eden after Adam and Eve sinned. They often appear with swords or in chariots and appear to be guardians and soldiers of God and his holiness. Another word used for angels is 'seraphim.' The only angelic seraph (burning.) appears in Isaiah 6. He takes a burning coal from the altar to purify Isaiah's lips. The word is also translated 'fiery serpent' in Numbers 21 and flying serpents in Isaiah 14 & 30. Daniel also speaks of supernatural 'watchers.' These names seem to denote functions of angels rather than true 'kinds' of angels.
In Ephesians 6.12 Paul mentions Ephesians 6:12 "principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Some find kinds of angels here too. Again these appear to be functions rather than kinds of angels.
Three angels have specific names. Michael (who is like God) is called the archangel (I Thes 4.16 and Jude 9) appears to be the most authoritative angel. He is the commander of the Godly angelic host. Gabriel (warrior of God) brings messages to Daniel, Zechariah, Mary and Joseph. He appears to be the primary messenger. Lucifer (light bearer) led the rebellion against God and became Satan or the Devil. (Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28).
Question: Will those in hell be able to see, hear and remember?
Is Hell a literal place with literal punishment?
Answer: YES. Despite those who try to dismiss it hell is real and hell is eternal. At the Great White Throne (Revelation 20) present day hell will be cast into the lake of fire merging time with eternity. According to Luke 16 when the rich man found himself in hell he had a body with a tongue. He could feel the fire of hell. He was tormented in the flame. Abraham told him, Son, Remember!
You might ask, How can hell be thrown into hell? If you think of the present day hell, called Hades in Greek and Sheol in Hebrew, as a town jail, and the final eternal hell, the lake of fire, as a penitentiary it will begin to make sense. Only a few have actually received their final judgment. Most of the unsaved dead are being held in hell (hades) awaiting their resurrection and final judgment. At the end of time they will be resurrected and called to stand before the throne of Christ where they will receive their personal judgment based on their earthly life.
A jail is a jail is a jail. Once a person enters hades the only time he will come out is to stand before the Great White throne in the same way that an arrested person is placed in the county jail with bars and guards and loss of freedom. A penitentiary is made of the same elements as a jail. The difference is that the inmates there have received their final sentence..
How can a person burn in a fire forever without being consumed? The fire of God does not consume. It does not use its 'host' as fuel. The burning bush was not consumed. The fires of hell are created to punish not consume.
Is it fair for a person to be punished forever? Yes, for several reasons. An unsaved person, even in the midst of horrible torment, will not repent. It takes a work of the Holy Ghost to produce conviction and repentance. The Holy Ghost will not be working in hell. Secondly, eternity does not pass a second at a time. It is an eternal 'now'. One minute or a million minutes are all the same. Finally a person does not go to hell for what they have done (sins) they go to hell for what they are (sinners). Even in hell, given a choice a sinner would choose to stay there rather than to spend eternity in holiness.
Get saved before it is too late. As Dante wrote, Abandon all hope ye who enter here (hell).

Answer: One of the main sources of confusion in interpreting Bible prophecy is putting passages together that don't belong together. This is especially true when considering the catching away of the saints known as rapture. This doctrine does not appear before 1 Corinthians 15. It does not appear in detail before 1 Thessalonians 4.13. Confusion about the rapture is the result of trying to force it into Matthew 24 or the other places where the Olivet Discourse occurs. While there is also a catching away in the Olivet Discourse, it is the wicked who are gathered not the saints. This occurs at the end of the tribulation. It is preparation for the kingdom of Christ.
Question: Will God hold people accountable for what they say?
Answer: But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. (Matthew 12:36)

Yes God will hold men accountable for what they say, and for what they don't say as well. God listens to words. Those who speak the Gospel are heard and rewarded. Those who think on and express the goodness of God are recorded and rewarded. Those who take his name in vain will not be found faultless. Those who don't warn sinners of their need to repent will be held accountable. Words are important.
Words are the expression of the heart. They are the true barometer of a man's walk with God. They are the barometer of his rebellion. God records words. Malachi 3.16 says that he records the words and thoughts of those who "think on his name." This verse in Matthews us he records the words of those who reject him. In Ezekiel 33 he tells us he will hold us accountable for what we do with the Gospel. He stores our tears in a bottle. In the Revelation 5.8 and 8.3-4 he tells us that there are heavenly vials containing the prayers of the saints.
Question: Why is the ecumenical movement so popular?
Answer: And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Unity and tolerance is the cry of the hour. The ecumenical movement [the unification of all religious efforts] is the religious expression of that cry. Verses where Jesus called for the unity of His followers are the leading socially promoted texts. BUT Jesus never called for unity at the expense of truth. The US constitution guarantees religious liberty not religious tolerance. Each American has the right to his/her sincerely held beliefs AND the right to exercise those beliefs. Even the right to tell another that s/he thinks they are wrong. Ecumenicalism begins from a lack of confidence in one's beliefs. One who is confident in their belief is not afraid to stand alone. It is never right to validate that which is incorrect, even in matters of religious belief and practice.
Question: Does God support same sex relationships?
Answer: The Bible is very clear. There is only one intimate sexual relationship God honors: one man - one woman in a publicly recognized marriage. Some try to justify polygamy because of Bible examples but every polygamous marriage in the Bible is spoken of in a negative manner. Men did it but God never approved it. Homosexuality is universally condemned in the Bible. In Romans 1 God says that the act is unclean, dishonors the body, vile affection, against nature and unseemly. He hates transvestitism (Deut 22.5) and men acting effeminately (1 Cor 6.9). He calls homosexual behavior 'abuse.' Those engaged in homosexual, premarital, and extramarital relationships all received the same judgment: death. While it is popular today to be tolerant inclusive and generally accepting of all obtuse and perverse behavior God still hates it. And that includes the oxymoron "same-sex marriage."
Question: Does God still hear the prayers of those who refuse to repent of their sins?
Answer: Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear me:
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
In the Bible 'hear' means more than just vibrations being received by the ear drum and intelligently interpreted by the brain. To hear is to heed, to respond to or to grant a petition (I John 5.14-15) In both Hebrew and Greek the word for hear is also means to obey.
In this sense the only prayer God hears from a sinner is the prayer of repentance. If a person has never been born again the only prayer God hears from him is the prayer to be saved. The Christian who is living in sin has no right to expect that God is going to respond to his prayers.
Question: Is it possible for someone who is truly born again to back slide?
Answer: And my people are bent to backsliding from me: Though they called them to the most High, None at all would exalt him. Hosea 11:7
Yes it is possible for a child of God to backslide away from living a holy life. A Christian can commit any sin that an unsaved person can commit. However, many who ask this question are really asking, can a person sin enough to lose his salvation? That answer is NO.
To lose one's salvation either God would have to reject that person or that person would have to choose to reject his salvation. God has specifically answered both possibilities.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This passage says there is no scenario which would cause Christ to abandon his own. Life and death are exclusive. Man has no other existence. Things present things to come addresses every possible activity. Nor any other creature includes Satan. There is no force outside of me, no action I commit that can separate me from the love of Christ.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
This passage says I cannot abandon my salvation. "they shall never perish" has a double negative in Greek which implies an absolute negative. It is also in the middle voice which is a Greek grammatical construction which is reflexive. They can not never, in no way cause themselves to perish.
Question: Why do the wicked seem to prosper?
Answer: David said the same thing when he asked, Why do the heathen rage and the nations imagine a vain thing against the Lord. He commented in Psalm 37 and 73 when he questioned why the ungodly seem to prosper while the godly languish. We can think of several biblical reasons why the wicked seem to prosper.
1. They are the children of this wicked world. Satan is the god of this world. They are his children and he rewards their ‘faithfulness.’ Just remember the battle is not over yet. The greater their sin the greater their judgment.
2. There is no appreciation of blessing without the challenge of adversity. John 9:3 “that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”
3. This is all the pleasure they will ever know. Once they enter eternal hell there will never be a moment of rest, pleasure or comfort the rest of eternity. The saint will enjoy eternity in the presence of his Savior.
4. The ungodly have not yet ‘filled their iniquity.’ (Gen 15.16 ) God gives each man and each nation an empty vessel for his sins. When that vessel is full judgment comes.
5. The ungodly must become soul sick of sin and ungodliness before he will turn to Christ for salvation. Sometimes an unsaved man is turned to Christ by greater sin and perversity of another.
6. The ungodly and their ungodly acts drive the child of God to God for grace, mercy, deliverance, etc.
7. There is no possibility of voluntary submission if there is no possibility of absolute rebellion. God does not want robots.
8. God is merciful. Every moment a person lives even in sin is a moment in which he can get saved. Once he steps into eternity there is no changing.
9. With greater persecution and patience comes greater reward for the overcomer. The NFL and the US Marines do not train or fight in the lap of luxury.
10. God is infinitely wise and infinitely powerful and infinitely loving. He knows what he is doing.
Question: Is the following verse saying that a persons name is in the book of life before a person is born again?
Answer: Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

This verse says nothing of names being blotted out of the Lamb's book of life (the registry of the saved). It says the opposite. It is reassurance to those who have been truly born again that external circumstances will not limit their reward. Those who overcome have the promise that they will not be blotted out of the book. Who is the one who overcomes? He or she is the one who has been born of God.

Question: Is it possible to work for our salvation?
Answer: No salvation is by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. When I trust Christ as savior God imputes HIS righteousness to me. I will go to heaven because God will look at my record and see His righteousness. Does that mean I have no responsibilities to live right? No. God says to work because we are saved.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:12–13

Faith is hearing God's word and acting on it expecting that God will do what he says he will do whether it looks like it is possible or not. Faith is not a leap in the dark. Most of what is called faith today is presumption. It is not based on a promise or command of God. There must be a promise or a command the stimulates our actions.

Question: What is Chrislam?
Answer: Chrislam is a growing attempt to reconcile Christianity and Islam into a single entity. It started in Lebanon where it was an attempt to help Christians and Muslims live together in harmony. It is still obscure but growing in American consciousness.
Chrislam like every other compromise of Bible truth is an effort doomed to failure. You cannot reconcile light and darkness. The God of heaven is a holy perfect God. The god of Islam is an arbitrary and capricious god. Jesus is God incarnate, living among men. The Jesus of Islam is a lying prophet. Jesus is the Savior who gave his life on the cross in place of sinners so they can be saved. Salvation in Islam is by proclaiming Allah the true god, embracing Mohammed as his prophet, and following a strict set of rituals. The Bible is the perfect and complete revelation of God. The Quran contradicts the Bible in many places and attempts to 'correct it.'
The truth of the Bible cannot be mixed with false religion and still be true. You will come to God on His terms and be saved or you will be rejected by him and spend eternity in hell. Neither truth nor God's salvation are up for negotiation.

Question: Is abortion against God’s law?
Answer: If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, 24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. Exodus 21:22-25
This verse teaches that a baby in the womb is a child. God's justice demanded that if a baby in the womb were hurt or killed by someone the penalty was to be an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life.
This truth is reinforced in the New Testament. God called John the Baptist a child (babe - BREPHOS (Luke 1.44) when he was in his mother's womb. He used the same word to describe Jesus when he lay in the manger! (Luke 2.12)
A child is as much a child in the womb as outside the womb. Abortion is murder and carries the same divine judgment as any other murder.
